At MyQare (owned by Unimedia Digital Sdn Bhd 1663631-H), we take the privacy and security of your personal data very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the MyQare mobile application ("Application") as a customer ("User") or a service provider ("Qarer"). This policy is formulated in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal data provided directly by you when using our Application:
1.1 For All Users (Customers & Qarers):

Basic Profile Information: Full name, phone number, email address, and password.

Verification Information: A copy of your National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or Passport, and a selfie for facial recognition and identity verification (e-KYC) purposes.

Location Information: Real-time GPS location data (where permitted) to match the nearest Qarer and track arrival/task status.
1.2 Specifically for Customers (Users):

Care Recipient Information: Age, gender, and relevant health details (e.g., allergies, chronic illnesses of the elderly, or special needs of children) to ensure a safe and accurate Qarer match.

Payment Information: Transaction details. (Please note: Your credit/debit card credentials are securely processed by our payment gateway, Razorpay. MyQare does not store your full credit card numbers on our servers).
1.3 Specifically for Caregivers (Qarers):

Background & Qualifications: Nursing/caregiving certificates (if applicable), employment records, and criminal or medical background check results under the Safe-Qare protocol.

Financial Information: Local bank account number for payout/earnings withdrawal purposes.
2. Children’s Privacy Protection (Under 13 Years Old)
MyQare is committed to protecting the privacy of children:

Parental/Guardian Consent: We do not collect information from children under the age of 13 without the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Purpose of Collection: Children's data (name, health details) is collected strictly through the parent's account solely for the purpose of booking care services.

No Marketing: We do not use children's data for marketing purposes or ad profiling.

Data Deletion: If we discover that a child's information has been collected without proper consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that data.
3. Purpose of Data Collection & Strategic Partnerships
We use your personal data for the following service, security, and strategic partnership purposes:

Account Management: To create, manage, and verify your account.

Service Matching: To match Users with the most suitable Qarer based on location, care requirements, and expertise.

Insurance Protection (Senang.io): Sending your basic details and booking information to our insurance partner, Senang.io, to activate micro-insurance coverage throughout each care session.

Safety (Safe-Qare UTM Protocol): Conducting background screenings and monitoring service quality based on research standards co-developed with experts from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

Financial Transactions (Razorpay): Securely processing payments, collections, and fund transfers/payouts to the Qarer's account via Razorpay.

Notifications: To send important notifications, receipts, and booking status updates.
4. Disclosure & Sharing of Information (Third Parties)
MyQare WILL NOT SELL your personal data to third parties for external marketing purposes. We only share your data with the following parties on a "need-to-know" basis:

Users & Qarers: Basic profile information (name, photo, reviews, expertise) is shared between the matched User and Qarer to facilitate the care session.

Senang.io: Booking details and identity information are shared for insurance policy issuance and claims processing (in the event of an emergency).

Razorpay: The payment gateway provider used to process fund deductions (FPX/Card) and payouts to the Qarer's account.

Safe-Qare Researchers (UTM): Anonymized/de-identified data (where your name and NRIC are removed) may be shared with our academic partners at UTM for data analysis, security system enhancements, and care quality research.

Legal Authorities: If required by law, a court order, or authorities (such as PDRM) for criminal or fraud investigation purposes.
5. Data Security & Retention

Security: We implement strict technical and organizational security measures. All transmissions of sensitive data (such as NRIC and payment information) are encrypted using industry-standard SSL technology to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.

Retention: Your personal data will be retained for as long as your MyQare account remains active, or as long as necessary to fulfill service purposes and dispute resolutions. Financial and transaction records will be securely stored for a mandatory period of 7 years in compliance with Malaysian tax laws.
6. Your Rights (Under PDPA 2010)
As a data subject in Malaysia, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data held by us.

Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings within the Application.

Withdraw Consent: You may delete your account or request that we stop processing your data at any time. (Note: Withdrawing consent means you will no longer be able to use MyQare services).
